Seasonal Practice:Embodying Nature's Rhythm

This seasonal workshop series explores the living interplay of yin and yang as expressed through the rhythms of the natural world.

Each immersion embodies the full energetic quality of the season. At times inviting stillness, receptivity, and introspection, and at other times calling forth movement, vitality, and creative expression.

Through a thoughtful blend of posture, breath, somatic inquiry, and mindfulness, each workshop supports participants in harmonizing their inner landscape with the unfolding season around them. Some seasons beckon us to slow down and turn inward, while others encourage us to rise, expand, move, and ground. By intentionally cultivating both yin and yang qualities throughout the year, this series nurtures nervous system balance, emotional resilience, and a deeper sense of connection to both self and the natural world.

Participants can expect a thoughtfully curated experience that may include:

  • Yin postures or longer-held shapes

  • Gentle or dynamic movement

  • Breath practices tailored to the season

  • Space for reflection, meditation, and inquiry

  • Journaling or integration prompts

Each workshop stands alone, yet together they form a cyclical journey through the wisdom of the seasons.

All levels are welcome. Bring a journal and something to write with.

Four quarterly workshops, 1pm-3pm: March 7, June 6, September 26, December 12

MyoYin Practice

A Quarterly Myofascial Release & Yin Yoga Series

MyoYin is a 90-minute, quarterly workshop series that integrates the quiet depth of yin yoga with gentle myofascial release techniques using therapy balls.

Rooted in the MyoYin approach developed by Jo Phee, this practice supports participants in developing a more nuanced understanding of fascial tissue, trigger points, and how mindful pressure combined with stillness, breath, and time can encourage ease and mobility in the body.

Each workshop focuses on a specific region of the body, allowing for a targeted yet holistic exploration of common areas of holding. This series emphasizes curiosity, self-awareness, and nervous-system regulation. Participants are guided to sense where tension is present, explore safe and supportive release techniques, and integrate those techniques seamlessly into yin yoga postures.

The extended time and slower pace of each session create space for deep relaxation and embodied learning. Participants gain practical, accessible tools they can continue to use outside of class, supporting long-term mobility, comfort, and self-care. The experience is both educational and restorative, making it appropriate for a wide range of bodies and backgrounds.

This series is designed to:

  • Increase understanding of fascia and trigger points

  • Support gentle release of myofascial tension

  • Improve joint mobility and functional range of motion

  • Encourage deep rest and parasympathetic nervous system response

  • Offer sustainable, self-guided techniques for ongoing practice

Open to all experience levels. No prior yin or myofascial release experience required.

Held at VIDA Fitness, City Vista and The Yards Locations. Open to members and non-members.
